After a fast-paced weekend with my sister, which included: boat tours, museum stops, hot dogs, a real-live glimpse of Stephanie Izard, a clogged toilet, bike rides, cupcakes, arts fests, deep dish pizza, improv, and other assorted organized activities, I.AM.BEAT. It was so good to play with her sans-kids (although I love you guys, some day you'll understand).
It’s so hard for me to get back into the swing of things after a busy weekend. Luckily, I only had to put up with a three-day workweek because I leave tomorrow for the Fourth Annual Kaleidoscope Reunion.
In college, I lived in a house with seven other girls (plus one adoptee) called Kaleidoscope. It was basically like an ongoing episode of the Real World, complete with awesome parties, fights about who would take out the trash, and hilarity all around.
I was really good at college.
Now that we’re all grownsed up, we try to get together every year. This will actually be the first time that we've all been together since graduation. I'm a little afraid that the universe will implode. Or, at the very least, that someone will end up in a St. Louis jail cell.
Wish me luck.
